In the WHM, when I tried to assign IP to ns1.domain.com, no problem. However, when I tried to assign ns2.domain.com. The error msg says: "Sorry, you are out of ips to assign as nameservers".

I went to my registrar, which is registerfly, and register a namesever ns1.mydomain.com. But as I've said above, I only have one nameserver right now.

The order page say that I have 5 IPs, but I've only used 1, where are the other 4 IPs? Any help please?

Good question, I wonder about that as well.

There is 1 IP on the welcome email and I used it in the initial setup, however I don't know how to add another IP or how to check how many IPs that SM allocated for me. The <<IP Functions>> in WHM doesn't seem to show any IPs that I have, and I don't know which IP number should I add.

Is this because the server just setup? It's quite confused, but thanks for reply anyway. I'm still need some help here.

Hi, IIRC running the command
CODE
ifconfig
in ssh should tell you which ips have been bound to your server.

I know there is only 1 IP that has been bound with my server, but I type the command you told me: here is what it showed:

root@*** [~]# ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0D:61:B2:48:17
inet addr:69.93.xx.xx4 Bcast:69.93.xx.xx9 Mask:255.255.255.248
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:8765 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:8741 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:2233510 (2.1 Mb) TX bytes:3409560 (3.2 Mb)
Interrupt:11

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:4493 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:4493 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:1221707 (1.1 Mb) TX bytes:1221707 (1.1 Mb)

So what does it tell you?

to mee it seem like you just got one usable IP however it could just be a matter of setup .. but if you just got one IP in the welcome mail that is what you have ..anyway you could call em and ask .ĻIt could be that SM has done a fault her ..
Force-10
I'm no expert icon_sad.gif but it looks like your right, there is currently only one IP bound to your interface, as I don't see any IP aliases (eth0:1, eth0:2, .. etc).

Sorry, I know that doesn't really help you icon_sad.gif

True -- if you received more IPs in your email, you can add them yourself, or contact support ..

Thanks guys, great help, I'm pretty new at this stuff so I didn't really know what was going on. I submitted the ticket and wait for now. Hopefully they'll give me 4 more IPs as I suppose to have, soon.
