Floord Guard $5 / Month
Comes with 5 ips and 1 usable.
I just signed up Sunday for a new server with 5 ips.
Will the 4 out of 5 IPS from my server be used for Flood Guard or does that $5 / for the 5 ips (floodguard) incldue the 4 that flood guard will use?
Basically i`m wondering if I`ll be left with 1 usable IP after FloodGuard is installed instead of my 5 usable IPs I got with the server, or if I`ll be left with 6 usable IPs.
Also, if I bump up to 13 IPs on the server will floodguard only work on the 1 previous IP until I pay for the upgrade of flood guard?
And how do I know WHICH of my IPs are "floodguarded"?
Thanks

I think you need the $10 8-IP Block Floodgear option.
If you ordered 5 IP's with your server, that's an 8-IP block, with 5 useable ..

Ah, ok.
So after FloodGuard I`ll have
1 Floodguarded IP
4 Unguarded IPs
Unless I upgrade to the $10/month FloodGuard.
Am I understanding this right?
Thanks

Yes.
If you wish to protect all 5 IPs you need to order the $10 8-IP Block Floodguard package.

Gotcha ok so I orderd the wrong one..
I don't see the point in offering the $5 option then...
Do people actually share IPs with their name servers and their hosted domains..
Why would someone want to do that?????

If you only intend to use 1 IP (for whatever reason), I suppose the $5 option will save you some $$ ?

I guess this goes for my next question.
My 5 usable server IPs does that include the 2 I need to use for name servers? Or do I get 2 ontop of the 5 that aren't mentioned for me to use as name servers... ?
Thanks!

Nameserver/apache-vhost/host/control-panel/etc ips come from your 5 useable pool.
FYI
How do you use your 5 ips?

The cheapest option is $5 for a block of 4 IPs. You need to minus out 3 IPs for any option. That gives you 1 usable IP.
[The number of IPs in sales option] - 3 = [The number of usable IPs]

Cool thanks guys.
I put in a ticket to have them do me for the $10 plan on FloodGuard
