Full Version: Dropped Traffic Charged?

Does traffic that is blocked by FloodGuard still get counted in the monthly bandwidth?

Thanks,
Jeff

I'd assume it would not get charged to you, because that's one of the reasons for having FloodGuard. However, I'm sure someone at TP/SM will answer this.

I believe that bandwidth is charged if it reaches the router port but since flood guard is supposed to work before the router, I would supposed that it will not be charged.

I guess if you do not have flood guard enabled then you be charged because all tranffic gets to your server.

Like Olternit said, we need an official confirmation.

If your server is protected by FloodGuard, AND if you were not running an IRC server (we'll check), then you will not be charged for the DoS traffic.
