Full Version: Transfers inside SM

Hi there,

bandwith between servers inside SM are charged?

Thanks
tSD|Alien
From my understanding no.

If you have 2 servers, to interconnect them for Database applications and the like, Internal bandwidth is not metered and not accounted into the 750GB/mo allowed. That is for ingoing/outgoing traffic for Internet usage, not internal networking usage.

So if you had Application A that requests information from Database B @ 10mbit/sec internally, it would not be metered on your account as anything.

Granted, there may be limitations, but this is how it was discussed in previous threads.

It really depends on how the servers are setup. Yes transfers are counted against you if your servers are not connected together by a cross connect cable.

Let us know if you need additional details on this.

Thank You
