I have a Dual Xeon 3.2Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 2x73scsi Disk running Apache and Mysql.

More infos here :

Since today, the server crashed like 20 times. My uptime is like 18 mns :/
I dont know what could cause that.

Mysqlard is showing some bad indexes, but it was like that before too

I would appreciate any ideas of the matter. Thank you!

Tell me about your running processes. What is the server load? How full is the RAM and/or swap?

Fill out a ticket to support. Yes, this is un-managed hosting, but they will help with serious issues like this. If they refuse, suggest that it might be a hardware problem.

Hi, from looking over your info, i see your biggest issue, your running a EL kernel, the default programs on your server are way out of date, not to mention the way RH compiles programs, very unoptomized to say the least.

1. You can fix your indices with phpmyadmin, altho the bad ones might not be from the default vb install and could be from your other addon scripts.

2. You need to change quite a bit in your my.cnf, your settings are way off for 2gb of ram. Turn off your logging of slow queries.

3. Turn keepalive off in apache
KeepAlive Off
StartServers 15
MinSpareServers 15
MaxSpareServers 20
ServerLimit 650
MaxClients 650
MaxRequestsPerChild 500

4. Make sure you turn off persistant connections in vb config & php

Thats just to start, but should help you some, post back with your results.

it was a hardware failure (motherboard capacitor), they swapped me with a new server, everything is fine now icon_smile.gif
