Hello,

I need to turn on error reporting for php.

I've logged in with SSH and WinSCP. Both tell me that I don't have permission to change php.ini. I'm also told that I don't have persmission when I attempt to chmod the php.ini file.

I'm using the username and password that EV1 orginally sent me in the WELCOME TO EV1 email. Actually, I've tried every combination of usernames, possible usernames, and passwords. Only one lets me in but I have no ability to change anything.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Brandon

In which operative system are you?

It looks like you need the root password.

I never used WinSCP before. I downloaded and installed to know it. I didn't find an option there, to login as a root.

I think your better option is to use Putty to ssh to your server, and then at the shell prompt, do su -.

If you don't have the root (su -) password, request it to EV1 Support.

Then, when you can enter as a root, use "pico" to edit the php.ini.
