Just within the last 12 hours or so, MailScanner has quarantined 400+ messages with the subject line "Happy New Year!" and the message contains postcard.exe.

They are coming from all different IP's and to all different mailboxes on the server, however the messages are pretty much identical. Is there something new and nasty going around? Anyone else noticed this?

I detected too the same virus, but the remittent is sending it twice from the same IP, of course, from hundreds of IP's.

I blocked it in sendmail.mc with a "Subject" rule to not let him overload my server.

Yeah, some friends of mine mentioned something about this spam email.

I'm sorry to hear it's true and that it's gotten into your guys' servers. icon_sad.gif
