I have turned Spamd OFF in WHM in both Tweek Settings and Service Manager, however, my Chkservd is still trying to restart the program, and so i am getting LOTs of SPAMD failed emails. How Do I remove SPAMD from the CHKServD checklist?

I removed SPamd and installed Mailscanner (ConfigServer's turorial).

I had a similar problem, I watched the software installed and I saw that there are 2 versions of spamd and it was a problem.

Check your version of spamd



And check if your have install other version of spamd via RPM



If this is correct, create a new ticket to EV1 Support fix it.

for some reason my Spamd has wierd permissions



Maybe this was done by EV1 when Spamd was killoing the server. Non-the-less, I want to get rid of Spamd all together, but chkservd still looks for it, i want that to stop.
