Full Version: Migration Manager issue
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk

I have a client account on a plesk 7.5.3 with several domains that I want to transfer to a plesk 8.0.1 machine that I have admin privileges on. When attempting to connect to the old machine, I get the error
Cannot send scout to the remote host
Unable to connect to host 63.xxx.xx.x: Connection timed out.

I do not have admin access on the old machine, only the client login to access
the client domains.

I've tried the pmm using both the ip address and the domain name(s) along with the username and password for the client account.

Any help here?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the issue in your case or not...but, if you have a firewall set up in plesk modules, make sure you have the IP address of your new machine listed as an IP that is allowed SSH access on your old site.

Not sure about the firewall settings, but as a client on the server, shell access hasn't been granted, so that might be the issue.

i know in previous version of plesk you needed admin rights on the box to do this. Also a firewall could be in the way on either the client or your server side. Also version diffs in the way they work sometimes you can not migrate one psa version to another they sometimes need to be the same.
