Just a question to all of you, I don’t know if it is me but is ev1 support getting slower and slower every year?
It use to be that if you ordered a server reinstall you could order the fast service but if you ordered the normal one it was almost always done within 4 hours, those days are gone and they seems to be come more like a run of the mill multinational company where it takes forever to get something done, like today I ordered a plesk license update I ordered it at noon got a message that they are working on it at 1pm and it is now 7pm and it is still not done, 6 hours and counting to input a new license number.

Doesn't seem like it. I've had trouble tickets responded to within 10 minutes and some in 6 hours. It still seems pretty good to me.

Just to give you a update, they finished updating the Pesk license at 9am this morning. That’s 18 hours to just update a license (nothing to install, fix or investigate).

Think yourself lucky.
My previous support ticket took 11 days to give me console access to my server. I didnt even get a response saying it had been fixed, it just started working one day.
I contacted Valerie, the Director of DC Logistics, (who promised such a situation would never occur again).
And yet here we are again, my latest ticket (an exact replica of the previous, except a different server), has been unanswered for 4 days.
Im cant express how disgusted I am with EV1 right now.
Sure, they have 50000 people to support or however many it is.
But theyre also taking money of 50000 people. Get some more staff for christs sake.
The web chat by the CEO did little to reassure me that EV1 ISNT going to the dogs. When confronted with the questions that support has beasically turned into a heap of muck, he replied that he thought support had improved recently.
Mr CEO: Its an absolute joke and no-ones buying it.
Does anyone know of a hosting business that will actually respect my custom?
Ive about had it with EV1. They are really starting to suck, and Im REALLY fed up with the CRAP support lately.
I dont care if they are merging or whatever. The fact is, part of any merger proceedings is to make sure existing customers are impacted as little as possible.
Sorry for venting my frustration on the forum. Im sure most people dont want to hear it, but Ive vented it at Ev1 and it seems its too much trouble for them to bother helping me.
So I think its too much trouble for me to pay my next bill, so goodbye EV1.
Regards
A soon to be ex-Ev1 customer.
