Hello,
Yes, this whole Ensim thing is a total pain. Agreed. But, I need to get it running. I messed up the last install, because I had MS SQL installed and it caused all sorts of issues, so I reinstalled Windows 2003 Web Edition and tried to go for it again. I can't believe it, but I made the same mistake, again!
Install Win 2003 Web Server Edition
Make sure everything is added for Ensim Install (IIS, QOS Packet, etc..)
Install Ensim 5.0
Everything was very smooth this time, it looked great.
Then, I Needed to upgrade to Ensim X and instead I accidentally installed MySQL next, and then when I went to upgrade to Ensim Pro X, it wouldn't let me and kept complaining about "enable named pipes."
Am I doomed here? Is there anything I can do to get around this?
I uninstalled MySQL and tried to upgrade, and got the same error message. I even tried to uinstall Ensim 5.0, but it wouldn't even let me.
Of course their installation guides say NOTHING about the orderl your tools are supposed to be installed in, and how crucial every step along the ay was though....
Please, at this point, i'm desperate. I need some guidance.
