im doing something very wrong.

im a totoal noob,

when i installed plesk it came up with the ip 192.168.1.105 the lan ip but when i add domains to that ip and setup dns and hosting and add my site i goto it from an outside computer and it says "Hosting for this domain is not configured"

so i added my internet ip to the servers ip pool and created a domain and hosting under that and sometimes it gives me the same error as before and sometimes it loads the actual site i have up and sometimes it says cannnot find server.

can someone help me out, should i have added the internet ip to the servers ip pool.

which ip should i set as the servers defualt and which ip should i setup domains and hosting under?

Shows how your server dns template should look, when you create a new domain it picks up the template and automagicaly sets the sites DNS.

You need to set the domains up under the WAN IP, if you don't nothing will get through. The 192.xxx 10.xx and one other which escapes me at the moment are not routable thru the internet.

So, you server main IP is what you should set with your WAN IP which is routable.

so i should set the servers ip to 192.168.1.106 which is my wan ip.

now when i add a domain to i setup the domain on my actuall internet ip or do i set it up on the wan ip also?

Is your configuration this?:

Internet >> (WAN port)(public IP) Router (LAN port) (192.xxx.xxx.xxx) >> WebServer?

my configuration is this

internet, then public ip, then router which gives my server the lan ip of 192.168.1.105

no, im hosting it myself but i had no were else to go to try to find out how to set it up, i stumbled upon this on google when i searched plesk forums.

i asked on the official plesk forums but nobody has even tryed to help me there.
