Erica
Hi All,

I am having trouble recieving emails.
The situation is:

When someone_at_NY@mycompanydomain.com tries to send emails to me_at_Tokyo@mycompanydomain.co.jp, 2-3 in every 50 emails gets bounced back to someone_at_NY@mycompanydomain.com.

mycompanydomain.com is NOT hosted with us.
mycompanydomain.co.jp IS hosted with us.

The bounce emailing errors that they are getting is something like this:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Subj: ProductRelease RejectBuild Security Master 1.7.0 Develop
Sent: 2006-06-27 15:24

has encountered delivery problems to the following recipient(s):

me_at_Tokyo@mycompanydomain.co.jp

Reason: Conversion required but not supported
The message content must be converted to be forwarded but such
conversion is not possible or is not practical by a host in the
forwarding path.

So, I looked at http://pobox.com/~djb/docs/smtplf.html Website, and they said it has got something to do with BareLF.

I talked to the support tech regarding this, and their answer was...
--the server that is sending is leaving part of the message off the part thats lets it know that all of the message and the recieving server doesn't accepct the message because it thinks it is only getting part of it. someone_at_NY@mycompanydomain.com has to fix the problem, not us.

I understand the concepts and all, but NY is the headquater, and if .co.jp domain is the one rejecting the emails, I cannot ask them to fix it.

Is there anything I can do on my server side?
I found some patch: qmail-smtpd-newline.patch
Does this help?

Please anyone help me on this!
