Hi,

we're running a RaQ3i and cannot use or rest the email server, ftp or SSH.

Consulting with a tech who used to work here, he says:

1. A current backup is not available, and the backup will not currently function.

2. Rebooting will probably not fix the problem and the RaQ may not come back up.

3. Updating to OS 5.0 might fix it, but it requires a reboot, and if it doesn't fix it, we may damage the data that's out there.

4. The plan is to try the OS update, if it works fine. If it doesn't work, remove the hard drive from the RaQ, put it into another box and copy the data off. Then put the drive back into the RaQ and run the RaQ installer software. Next process all the updates, before rmoving the drive back to the extra box and copying the data back onto the original drive.

The question we have now is:

What data can/should we back up, in order to restore it to the reconstructed drive?

Thanks.

Oh, we'd also like to know the implications if we were to upgrade from the RaQ3i to say a RaQ4 or RaQ 550?
