Hello people

On my V-Server is running Apache 2 and apart from that no other services or mail-server ect. No PHP and no SQL.

Now i would like to know how much free disk space Apache needs to work properly.
I have 40000 MB for proposal from which 38000 MB (37 GB) are already used. PLESK does not display the left space, just the used space.
Should there be too little space, Apache is said to have problems.

So how much MB can i upload without harm?

You can run until there is almost no space (a few mb) left just fine. The real problems come when you completely run out of space. I would generally say leave 2-3 Gb spare if you can and if you do run that close just check every now and then to make sure it does not run out.

I guess the used space is quite stable, http is the only service which is running and the logs are very small.
The only issue could be the temp files. But since i have just 10-20 MB files online i guess the system does not need to create temps.(?)

Actually i would like to upload another GB, then about 500 mB would remain for free (enough for my configuration i hope)

500mb is close but it will run. Just keep in mind if you run out of disk space completely, the only real worry, that it will have problems and mysql tables may become corrupt and have to be repaired.
