I recently upgraded my 7.5.3 to 7.5.4 and everything was fine.
I then upgraded to 8 and yes, my license key upgraded fine.
However, on the previous 7.5.4 I had php "safe mode" set to off. (Server Wide)
After the upgrade to 8, even hand hacking the vhost.conf files, or even the httpd.include files wouldn't kill the "safe mode".
I searched around here and couldn't find what I needed, but over on the swsoft forums I found a post that mentioned that "safe mode" can now be managed through the Plesk Control Panel through a Group Action.
Clicking Domains then selecting all the domains and clicking Group Actions I found that safe mode can be turned off or on through the control panel.
This is an improvement over the previous versions, and I applaud swsoft for including this.
This makes turning on or off safe mode for each domain a simple task, with out having to hand hack each vhost.conf file.
All of this however depends on getting a clean upgrade. Your mileage may vary, not legal on some planets, yadda yadda.

That may be a nice feature to some but personally I would never enforce safe mode server wide for many reasons.

Well I am either blind or the removed it. I just upgraded to 8.1.1 and need this turned off. Tried in php.ini even adding in .htaccess and checking in the control panel. Why does everything have to be so difficult with plesk
