Hello,

I've been trying to figure this out the last few days and I am just lost on why this isn't working. I have the VPS and I'm setting everything up via Plesk. I setup one domain shiftedinc.com and it works (dns is ns1/ns2.ev1servers.net) and then I try to setup the 2nd one overdrivetour.com - stevecatts.com same dns server on the register and same setup as the shiftedinc one and none of them work. When I go do the preview page within plesk the pages load, but when i type in the url the pages don't work.

Also I've tried to setup a subdomain under shiftedinc.com (test.shiftedinc.com) and that doesn't work. Can someone please help me?

Thanks so much

Anthony,

I believe if you're going to use the EV1 nameservers you're going to need to log into the members area to add each of those domains. Tis one of the reasons many of us run our own nameservers, because then nothing is required other than setting up the domain on the server once the master dns records are set up.

how to do i setup my own dns server? i tried to login to the register and add ns1.shiftedinc.com and ns2.shiftedinc.com and the regsiter is telling me that they are not correct.

thanks

You're already running a name server. Just request a couple of new IPs from EV1, add them to your server, create A records in your domain for ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com that point to the new IPs respectively, then add name servers with whoever you registered your domain name with.

There are also a couple of pinned threads down in the Plesk DNS section if you need a complete walk through.
