Hello guys and gals. I have a reseller on my plesk box who is setting up name based accounts and they are using their own NS when setting up accounts for example .... domain NS ns1.reseller.com.Should I add the ns1.reseller.com name servers into my main server DNS zone template to enable them to set up name based accounts with ns1.reseller.com using my ip?

Are they using there own name server hosted by some on else or are you looking to host there name servers.

If you want to host them you need to request 2 additional ip's.
Then you need have them setup a host record for there domain.

They are setting up the accounts on my box and they have registered their own name servers using 2 ips I gave them.They have set the first 2 NS for the domains they set up(name based - on my ip) with their ns1.reseller.com etc NS but everything else on the domain DNS is not changed ie my ip settings.The accounts work html pages but PHP doesnt work on the accounts set up? PHP is working fine on the resellers Ip based account using their own name servers.

Is there any settings I should have set somewhere to enable name based account creation using different name servers than my own? Should I add in some records in the plesk servers dns to reflect this? A records with the resellers ips or something?

Hi,

Cant you just add A-records linking the clients IP's with their ns names in their own domain, and then when they add domains of their own i think it will work without specific dns entries being added to your template etc...?
