Hi there,
I've been doing a lot of Googling and not a single thread in a forum seems to really result in a happy ending for any type of Plesk upgrades. I intend to purchase a separate new Plesk server from Ev1 in the next week and I want to prepare for a migration.
I've got a Plesk server which is pretty old, and I'm pretty sure I've upgraded it a little bit over the years - I'm guessing that the below file is an accurate version:
[root@saturn tim]# cat /usr/local/psa/version
2.5.5 RedHat 7.1 020809.88
Has anyone successfully done this? Any non-SWSoft utils people can recommend?
Thanks!

Hi guys,
Just to let you guys know how I went - I got a new Plesk 7.5 Reloaded server and I used the Server -> Migration tool and put in the IP and root pw of my other box and it migated everything perfectly! Even though it was Plesk 2.5.5!
Very happy, well done the guys at Plesk!

Awesome to hear! That is a pretty big upgrade, redhat 7.1 has not been updated in probably 3-4 years if not more!

I thought it was a typo when I first saw plesk 2.5.5

Yeah I thought it must have been a mistake, but it was definitely 2.5.5.
Just a note to anyone else trying an upgrade - the migration tool works perfectly, except you may need to change the name servers on the imported DNS records as the old NS might not be relevant anymore.
(I'm mainly posting this for the benefit of anyone who finds this thread on Google and wants to know how it went).
