That is the only thing you have to type once you are done with the configure. If it works mysql will be installed and you can just restart mysql to go to 5.

Do note I have no clue how that will work, I am not even sure if the raq's can really compile php but its worth a try as long as you know you may create a little downtime if it messes up. There are some features on mysql 5 that would mess up sites designed for 3...especially if you are talking about sites that have been on a raq for years

thx for the reply

i found out of it and learned that "make" and "make install" is basic commands.

no worry about downtime, this server is clean and not used for any commers use,i was just trying to make it work as a mirror for a vbull forum but i cant get mysql work even if it say its working.

btw,the raq installed............have to say it this way sins i have no clue,it went tru make and make install whitout any errors and then I stopped up...have to read more to now how i get it all to work icon_razz.gif

I would suggest just renting a $99 celeron over a raq. It is going to be a LOT faster (like 2x), bigger hard drive, more RAM and have a decent OS. The raq OS has not been updated in way too many years (around 4 I think) and runs some pretty old software.

i dont learn anything from renting a box.besides that i think the raq is cool and i bet it can run something other than the orginal os.
