Looks like I may have done this wrong, just purchased a GeoTrust Cert and went to the domain (exlusive IP) that I wanted it on and did everything through the certificates area. Well after restarting httpd I still pull up the default certificate from the server which is expired.
I couldn't find any instructions on how to install this so I went with logic, go to the domain you want it on. However now I am starting to think that I was supposed to do it through the server area > certificate > import to control panel > set to domain name. If this is correct am I basically out $50 and have to setup another one?

Hello Joor,
I apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with your SSL installation. To my understanding, if you contact our ssl department within 7 days of purchase to cancel the ssl they can refund your money back. You can email them at
ssl@ev1.net for support and issues concerning your ssl, please be sure to include your order number as well.
I am not fully familiar with the Plesk control panel, but I do know that Geotrust does give some support for installing ssl's also. I can refer you for further details here
http://geotrust.com/support/index.asp.
For further assistance with your ssl please contact our ssl department at
ssl@ev1.net (be sure to include your order number) and they will do their absolute best to assist you with this issue.
Thank you,
Ben T.

Ben - Thanks, I sent an email their way, should I delete my trouble ticket?
BTW - Pleask 7 Reloaded, I just went to their instructions and I didn't receive a CA Certificate, only the Certificate, is that normal?

To their instructions I did everything right except where I fall off is that I don't have the drop down in domains > setup > certificates, it only shows the default certificate (Administrator's repository) with no drop down option for the one that I setup. Their instructions have the drop down to select it. Rebooted server to double check as well. Lets see what ev1 has to say.

Well from my own experience, you will have to generate a CSR somewhere in your server control panel. Then paste it for Geotrust to generate the CRT. After this is done you will go through a verification process. Generally a phone call and a link confirmation in your email. Once this process is complete your certificate is emailed to you.
If you need them to re-issue you another one, you can do it at Geotrust. They allow an excessive amount of re-issues if you need them. If you had any problems with the verification procedure, I would recommend calling them or emailing them.

That is what I did, generated CSR for domain > Sent to GeoTrust > phone verification > web verification > Certificate Sent. I really don't think it is anything with Geotrust, infact something screwy in Plesk. I have done this hundreds of times in Ensim going through the same process and no problems whatsoever.

I see, unfortunately, I am not familiar with Plesk. If you have not done so, create a ticket to our webtech department regarding your issue with Plesk and the Certificate. It sounds like you may need to delete your old default server certificates in Plesk regarding that domain, but for more details please contact our technical support about this plesk issue by ticket, livechat or phone and they may be able to help you with it.

I found a way to make it work. For some reason Plesk was not updating my http.include file for the domain in question. So all I had to do was point the
SSLCertificateFile /usr/local/psa/var/certificates/certNameHere
and it is all good now, it was still using the old one.
