Can anyone please guide on, how to install ColdFusion Server on Windows 2003 server with plesk control panel. I am actually confused, what application is required to host the coldfusion sites, Macromedia Contribute or Coldfusion MX 7?

You need coldfusion MX7 which starts at $1299 for the standard and goes up $5999 for the enterprise edition. The macromedia contribute is just some sort of editing program, not a server application.

As far as install, no clue on a windows box. I know under linux is was very easy to install coldfusion.

The $80 application is basically just a frontpage server type thing that lets you easily upload a website.
