I would like to install the Cocoa Village Publishing "blockautosubmit" script. It requires the GD library higher than 1.6.3 and freetype higher then 1.3.1
Our Linux server has GD2.30 and freetype-2 1.4 but they have not been installed so I cannot create the dynamic images that are required by the script to "Block Automated Submissions using image features of php".

I am familiar (but consider myself a beginner) with using SSH but have not done an install or complied Apache, which I believe will need to be done after the install of the two programs. Would anybody be kind enough to advise me on the install procedure(s) for the two programs and what else would need to be done?
