I guess I've been looking in the wrong place for quite a while now for domain registration. I just visited the domain registration forum as a last ditch effort to see where EV1 was at for the long-time defunct system that has been offline for months. As you can guess I saw all kinds of posts about ResellOne!

I hadn't been into that section of the forums for months because I got tired of hearing EV1's tired reply of "soon".

Now into the meat of this rant and why I named this topic ADD rant. I feel like EV1's Public Relations is ran by my ADD kid! It would be nice if EV1 would make announcements like on the newroom page, so all new and current customers have a focal place to see/hear about deals like have been said only in the ResellOne threads about grand opening deals. I'm sure I would have signed up for ResellOne, but am leary now to say the least because there hasn't been any officialt news released about this project.

It used to be nice to see personal Announcements/New Deals by HeadSurfer, but nothing there in since 2003. To boot there hasn't been anything I've seen in the ServerCommand messages area that we sometimes see hot news. I've even seen had emails before that announced ResellOne or anything else.

IMO EV1 needs a good Public Relations person! I think it would have made the ResellOne a huge launch and probably help the company overall.

I've had no problems with servers at EV1, but the fringe things are frustrating from this customer's view! I can only imagine what the public walking in off the street thinks of EV1. EV1 used to have a unique website instead of the cookie cutter type web site that appeared months back...the new web site isn't personal like the old one was. The old site made us feel like more of a close knit family instead of just another hosting company.

Sorry for the long rant, but wanted you to know it's frustrating at times.

I have to agree. I have also been checking for news from newsroom but there's never anything, was there anything even about preparations for Rita?

Tip to HeadSurfer and others: I have a blog that I update often. This blog is for my clients where I tell them about new deals, improvements, new plans, what's coming up and give hints. This has worked out really well and ppl love it. How about EV1 start a blog too or at least make decent newsroom where you tell what is going on?

Starting a blog might be too over their head. Lets stay simple and let them deal with the website they already have that is not updated. We don't want to get way to sidetracked.

Always appreciate the comments and suggestions that come in from all of you. That is what truly helps us measure the direction in which we should be going.

With the ResellOne project being that it is in it's infancy although we have had extensive training on the core product we are also rolling in the factor that we are now an accredited registrar which brings on a whole new set of processes and procedures for us. The 'true' launch I can say this much is yet to come. We have recently brought on the credit card system for ResellOne after much debate about allowing credit cards we listened to all of you.

We do apologize that the "official" notice has not been sent out regarding ResellOne however it is in our planning over the next few weeks which may take us into the new year. We truly appreciate those of you that are standing by us in this time with the ResellOne project we have gotten many resellers setup and running, and if that is not the case please let us know our reseller services team are standing by to assist.

Is it actually live yet? I've seen the prices on the ResellOne website, but haven't heard much about how we go about getting it enabled...

Besides the resellone.net thing a blog or even a newsletter in order to keeo updated the customers would be a great addition.

Yes, that will help us know when the API will be functional and any additional changes updates etc. quicker than browsing through the forums.
