probably some user error involved...
I set up ssl on my server but now each time I go to the base url (www.geowebs.com) it redirects me to
https://www.geowebs.com:19638/webhost/rollout/site.
I installed the newly purchased QuickSSL certificate on my web server, as per the directions. After I saved it said
"Successful. Restart the Apache Server".
I restarted the server and again it said "Successful".
I cleared all caches and cookies on 2 different machines however, it still remains that when I go to www.geowebs.com, it re-directs to https://www.geowebs.com:19638/webhost/rollout/site
Here is a brief synopsis of what has been done so far...
1) Converted www.geowebs.com from a Named Site to IP based (204.44.198.173) so that SSL would work.
2) Went through EV1 SSL Certificate process. Sent CSR to GoDaddy.
3) They sent back a chained Cert.
4) Tried to install on geowebs/ssl through Appliance Administrator. Didn't work. THERE IS STILL A SSL CERT ON THE APPLIANCE ADMINISTRATOR. IS THIS NORMAL?
5) Tried to install on geowebs/ssl through Site Administrator. Didn't work.
6) I then bought the QuickSSL cert.
7) I installed the newly purchased QuickSSL certificate on my EV1 web server, as per the directions.
bind - Reconfigure service
(WARNING):Failed to remove PTR record, 207.44.198.5 IN PTR geowebs.com.
Original DNS Backend Message : Domain or Resource Record required is missing
ERROR:Domain or Resource Record required is missingA
9) I save it again and then it said "Successful. Restart the Apache Server".
10) I restarted the server and again it said "Successful".
11) I then tested www.geowebs.com and the re-direct to https://www.geowebs.com:19638/webhost/rollout/site started.
Can you tell me what else I need to do please? I would like to get my site back up as soon as possible...
Thanks and best regards,
John
