Hello,

Just wanted to know if the API error(Invalid Private Key) happens only for me?

Anyone succeeded using the API?

I have a working OpenSRS setup (old client verison 2.77) which I use for testing.

Regards,
REBIS
Good question. Anybody?

First I need to get my hands on the API... and documentation... Didn't know anyone already got it
awww
The API documentation is currently missing, I guess nobody should be able to use it.

Our business is focusing on low cost domain registration, obtained through a low cost (automated) registration process, without the API our account lays unused with $1000 of credit on it.

I am a long term ev1 customer and I trust them, however additional updates on the work in progress would be really appreciated.

We expect to have the API issue resolved very soon, and will update you as soon as possible.

The API documentation is massive, so while we're just doing some final proof-reading and editing, it may still be just a couple more days.
nsp
OK, thanks.

Do keep us posted.

Regards,
Brooke-Sales
Also, nsp, even without the API Documentation, the API itself should be working. Please send a screenshot of the error over to domainmanager@resellone.net and we'll look into it for you. Any information you have related to this error, and any additional screenshots you think might help us solve your problem would be great as well.

You're too good to me Brooke! I haven't had a vacation since I became an EV1 customer nearly 4 yrs ago. What will I do with all the spare time? Wait! I know, I'll write a book about EV1! icon_razz.gif

That is good to know, may be my client code is too old (version 2.77) anyway sending you two URLs now.. one working OpenSRS API and other not working ResellOne API.

I will upgrade to the latest client version after I hear from you. (Upgrades of this client is messy icon_sad.gif since I need to validate the card details etc.)

We will post as soon as we have the good news. Thanks for sending us any issues that may arise.

I decided to go into the working OpenSRS API client code..(After many years)

I found these two values needing change other than the private key

REMOTE_PORT =>
REMOTE_HOST =>

I think once we have these two values the client code should work.

Those of us waiting to implement the SSL and website builder API are still eagerly awaiting it's appearance. Don't forget us. icon_biggrin.gif

Will there be a pre-made API for us to use, or do we need to build one?

Wow... this is really well documented it seems... however, this (very critical) link still leads to a dead end:
http://www.resellone.net/support/pdf/xml_httpspost.pdf

It's mentioned in the API docs on page 18 and quite important for us, as we plan on using API requests via https.

Is this API 100% based on opensrs? If so, the new Tucows Client Code Suite (http://ccs.tucows.com/blog) should work. There is another open source solution that might work: phpdomain.

If these solutions won't work, we're considering to code a php based solution, and if there is an interest, we'll make it available to other customers... not sure yet...
nsp
I quickly went through these pages and still cannot find the end point for the API icon_smile.gif

Anyone been able to locate the destination IP/Host and the Port?

Thanks for the documentation... this surely gives us good control than OpenSRS and at a good price per domain this is a good thing.

Hope the broken link to the secured transport documentation too is uploaded soon

The server listed in the document is rr-n1-tor.ResellOne.net.net port 55000 (notice the double .net - it looks like they did a search/replace on "OpenSRS")

Neither resellers.resellone.net:55000 nor rr-n1-tor.resellone.net:55000 work.
nsp
True.. rr-n1-tor.resellone.net:5500 does not work for me either icon_sad.gif

We are getting closer and closer icon_smile.gif

Thanks, Laurie. Could you please also ask them whether they plan to provide a ready-to-use script to jump-start this beast? It could take quite a while to impliment something custom based upon 300+ pgs of docs!

Hi Laurie,

No news from the tech dept. yet!

Awaiting a response regarding the remote address and port to check to see if the API is functional.
