cox's mail server is basically returning "unable to find server3.domain.com"

I have a reverse lookup setup on server3.domain.com's IP address
I also have a host entry in plesk for server3.domain.com so that it has a legit MX record.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

At the risk of asking the obvious, does 'server3.domain.com' resolve?

Yep, resolves back to the IP and the IP reverses back to the hostname

I just did a check on the mail queue and those messages are still sitting in there

./qmHandle -l|grep cox -a

and a line from the maillog:

Greetings:

Does http://www.dnsreport.com/ for your domain name ** and ** the domain name cox is rejecting show any fatal errors?

Are you blocking 68.1.17.3 by host or by range in any of your firewalls?

Thank you.

weird .. I just tried dnsstuff and this is what it returns:

[ERROR: The parent servers say that the domain server3.domain.com does not have any NS records (although they may have some other information on that zone). I can not do a DNS report on a hostname (such as mail.example.com) or a domain name that does not have its own zone.]

Would you mind sending me your actual domain name / mail server name via pm?

Greetings:

DNS reports are on the domain name only (no machine names).

So you would need to put in "example.com" rather than "server3.example.com" where example.com is the domain name of your name server; and I would also recommend running it on the domain name that is failing (if it is not the same domain name).

Thank you.

I tried just domain.com and all tests returned "PASS"
I just checked mail queue
./qmHandle -l|grep cox -a
and they're all still sitting in there. Is there a way to force qmail to send those specific messages so I can watch log file?
