Regarding retail dom reg sys...

I assume this is still in beta, right? When will it be completed and is this basically what we'll have to work with via ResellOne? Is the reason it's taking so long to get this working properly due to anomolies in the OpenSRS API/GUI? Are we going to face the same situation as ResellOne customers? Also, how does one go about turning on auto renew and domain locking for all domains globally or is it not possible?

Thanks.

We're still developing the retail end of our domains, specifically on the billing side. Also, we'll need to change our API on the retail side, but that should not take too long.

Currently auto renew cannot be turned on for domains in our retail account, but that will most likely change for retail domains that are registered with or transferred over to ResellOne. Domain locking for all domains is not possible in the end user panel for retail names, but a list of names can be sent to domains@ev1servers.net and we'll be happy to lock the entire list in a bulk lock manually. Also, resellers will have the same function to bulk lock, bulk renew or make bulk nameserver changes to their names in their RWI's, the same way EV1Servers is able to now.

Thanks for the info, Brooke. In that case, I'd highly recommend defaulting all new retail registrations to locked just in case, as most other registrars now do. Most end users won't consider this, and by the time they do it may be too late.

Good advise Rebis! I would suggest always keeping your domains locked, as well as making sure that the admin contact email address is up to date and not associated with the domain.
