Full Version: Problems with SPF records using ServerCommand wizard

I am trying to set up my SPF records using the "DNS Configuration - SPF Records" option on ServerCommand

The SPF record I am creating is thus:

v=spf1 a mx:mail.cellular-news-mail.com ~all

If I go to a testing site:

http://www.dnsstuff.com/pages/spf.htm and manually enter the SPF and IP address, it says that the SPF record is correct.

Once I enter the domain name though, it says that it cannot find the SPF record, even though I have added it to the DNS settings.

Sending an email from the server to Hotmail confirms that it also cannot find the SPF record.

Is there something obvious that I missed out when setting this up, as it looks quite simple - but not working.

Many Thanks

Ian

mm, still having problems with this.

Have tested several "test" services inc. Microsoft's own tester and they all say that no SPF record is found, even though I have used the ev1 wizard to publish one.

Very confusing

Have you opened a ticket with tech regarding this issue? That is the course that I would suggest as it sounds like there is a set up issue.

I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to set up SPF records for my domains, but they're not being added. They don't show up in the ServerCommand interface after going through the wizard. Even something as simple as the default options doesn't work. When I click the "Create SPF" button, it goes back to the "SPF Records" page and doesn't show any records.

I noticed a couple things in the ServerCommand interface and wizard that don't look right:

1) I had domains that were listed on multiple Name Servers. I deleted all of the rackshack ones since I've switched everything to ev1servers, but that didn't make a difference.

2) In the wizard, it says "Does the server 1.1.1.1 ever send mail from ...". I'm assuming this should show the actual IP address instead of 1.1.1.1?

I'm sending in a support request, but I figured I'd post here in case anyone else has the same problems.

That's what I get when I try to run the wizard.

Did you ever get your problem resolved?
