Could someone let me know if it is OK to delete the files located in the directory /home/spool/mail

I have a large file 40 megs which relates to the admin's mail and would like to do something with it.

Either deleting the file (rm admin - followed by touch admin and resetting permissions) or shunting the mail to my e-mail address - if anyone knows how this is done, please let me know.
