I used to run RHEL 3.0 ES when it first came out. Back then, it did not come with postgres, so it had to be installed via rpm. That worked fine, never had any problems. Now, I have rebuilt some of my servers to use the latest ver of RHEL 3 ES (I think its update 4 or 5)with the "rhdb" installed, which is RHEL's ver of postgres. Basically during the install, I choose everything. I am not sure if postgres is the problem, but the servers will stop responding to ssh after a few days of being on. I can continue to access the server via webmin, etc but not ssh. Whats even worse, is if I initiate a reboot via webmin, the server hangs on trying to shut down rhdb, which leads me to think the problem is related to rhdb. I have DeLL PowerEdge 2650's. Any one have any ideas as to what is going on?
