I am using Plesk 7.5 which requires Windows 2003 SP1 with Firewal enabled. Which is a good thing anyway.
With this configuration, I cannot enable Routing and Remote Access service on my server. It seems they both (Firewal and RAS) use a component (Ipnat.sys) exclusively.
I would like to have a LAN-to-LAN VPN connection with my network at home.
Does anyone know a way, or perhaps another brand VPN server that would not conflict with the Firewall ?

Hi,
I am not sure about any third party softwares that can be used for VPN. But you can use the features offered by windows though. Disable/remove the firewall on your server (plesk uses the windows firewall). Enable routing and remote access service and configure it the way you require. Once configured, this will have the option to enable firewall. Though not as sturdy, it fits the purpose. To configure/add policies into this firewall, you need to go into the routing and remote access console.
You can use a combination of the the rras/firewall and IPsecurity policies on your server to protect it in a proper manner. We have been using IPsec and RAS/firewall on our servers without any problems so far. Plus the option to use a third party firewall such as ISS server protect.
If you do not prefer to use the IPsec and ras/firewall combo, you can opt for a third party firewall and configure it in a manner of your choosing.
