Full Version: Email 'invisible' unless viewed through IMAP

I hope someone has seen this before, because I am stumped.

I will run through the steps that led to this (I think).

I have a customer who owns both his .com and .org domain names. Recently he asked to have his .com domain name just redirected to his .org domain. I set up the .com domain to 'Park' on the .org domain.

Apparently as soon as I did that, he stopped receiving email. You can not bring it down via POP and it does not show up in webmail. It does however show in the server as a 13MB inbox.

I finally thought of trying IMAP, and here is what I see:

mail.domain.org
Inbox
Sent Items
Drafts
INBOX.Drafts
INBOX.Sent
INBOX.Trash (These boxes are apparently where the mail SHOULD be, because when I move it here, he can see his mail in webmail.)
domain.org
admin
inbox
angie
inbox
john (this is the admin account, and where I found all of these folders hidden, as well as the mail)
.mailboxlist
inbox
INBOX.Drafts
INBOX.Sent
INBOX.Trash

etc....

Now, what I am trying to figure out is why those folder were (apparently) moved and hidden. Mail is still being delivered into them but is inaccessible other than through IMAP.

If you are using Neomail, it has a little bug: when the email account has not enough space, list files (.neomail/*.db) get corrupt and show empty inbox or other folders. You have to delete db files of neomail. They are on folder /.neomail-USER/MAINUSER/ and have extension .DB you should delete those files and refresh your Neomail. It ll create new db files. I prefer use Horde, it has not these kind of problems.
