For PHP and MYSQL upgrade I find this (AtomicTurtle or some similary...) and I hope that it will work:

Now I dont know how to upgrade Apache. Do anyone know some thread in forum about this, or to write here?

Which versions of PHP, MYSQL and Apache you can to recommend me (and how to install it, where to find it)?
Now I have PHP 4.3.2, MYSQL 3.23.58, Apache 2.0.46, RedHat Enterprise rel3, Plesk 7.1.7 etc...

Thank you for help,
Mladen

You can update all the packages on your server using the command:

up2date -u

This includes apache. The new packages are patched, they will not be newer versions but they do not have security vulnerabilities.

Ok, I will type
up2date -u
and what than to do, where I to see that?
With this command I will update only Apache or and some else?

This will update everything. To update only apache, you must issue the command:

up2date httpd

Well, I think that it's going to be time for me to go for an update.

All this time I have always left all the old versions because I was worrying that something could break. On the forum, half of the threads are stating bad upgrades!

I'm trying to use the up2date -u command through ssl and getting this error:

[root@plesk /]# up2date -u
https://rhn.ev1servers.net/XMLRPC
There was an SSL error:
[('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE', 'certificate verify failed')]
A common cause of this error is the system time being incorrect. Verify that the time on this system is correct.

I just need to update MySQL from 3.23 to 4.0+ any ideas? icon_sad.gif

Have a read of this thread.

normally, just installing that rpm works fine, but sometimes it might need re-registering, submit a TT for that and it will be resolved easily.
