OKay, I need some opinions from you guys!

First, should I use the Plesk Updater to upgrade from 7.1.6 to 7.5.3 or should I go the rpm route?

Next, is 7.5.3 worth the trouble of upgrading?

Last, how many of you would suggest 4PSA Total Backup?

Thanks!

I've always had the best luck using the command-line installer, which you can get from the sw-soft ftp site:
ftp://download1.sw-soft.com/Plesk/Plesk7.....5/RedHatEL3.0/

It's easier than trying to do the RPMs by hand, but you can do that as well. I never use the Updater within Plesk - I've seen too many people break their installs with it.

As for the 4PSA Total Backup - I've never used it. I know that 4PSA has a presence here in the forums though. Surely there are people here who have used it and can give you their opinions.

Thanks for the comments! I too can appreciate that auto installer...kinda marries the ease of the Updater and the stability of the rpm route.

Anyone else have any opinions on this?

Command line installer here too.

The auto updater makes me nervous.

Yeah, agreed, it's a little too "hands-off". icon_smile.gif

Thanks!
