Full Version: No domain aliases/pointers?

I can't find any way of adding domain aliases/pointers in Plesk without spending more money buying add-on products.

It seems inconceivable, even Ensim has that out-of-the-box. Am I blind?

What about licenses - does subdomains count as a domain or is that at least covered under the main domain? Or how does it work?

You can edit the apache files for this or you can use one of our software modules to parkings, they are not supported by default in Plesk. Subdomains are not counted.

Yeah, that was the "extra cost" I was talking about. Considering the cost of Plesk licenses they really ought to have this built in!

Plesk sure is eyecandy but Ensim don't look so bad once you've had a look under Plesk's hood.

When you create a new user in Plesk, the user is asked for his phone number when logging in first time. We don't need it, we don't want it, we don't want to suggest to users that we sell it to the highest bidding telemarketeer or anything like that.

Is there a way to tell Plesk to stop asking for it? (without buying simple add-on products costing more than the Plesk license itself)
Squire
You could just enter a fake phone number when creating the user account. eg 555-555-5555

That's what I do, Squire, but I'd prefer it not to ask. I don't like nagging software.
