Hi,

I have just installed the mySQL Admin tool from:
http://www.mysql.com/products/administrator/

I have noticed that my Key Efficiency is very high. My server load is high as well. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I have attached screenshots of the program and my.cnf file.

Please help.

upgrade to mysql4 if most of queries are repetitive

move mysql data to a separate hard drive

use php caching techniques

all of these tweaks have been covered here at the forums before, try searching for a while and you'll find interesting things

I run Plesk 7.5.3. What is the best way to upgrade to mySQL 4? I ran the Plesk CP updates and that doesn't seem to do it. Do I have to run up2date? If not, please advise and also let me know what is up2date used for?

although I wouldn't recommend it for not-experienced enough users, I'm not a Plesk person myself either

up2date is meant to make easier for you the packages upgrading from RHEL repositories, without breaking the dependencies tree, however MySQL4 is not distributed by RedHat because of distribution license problems, mysql3 is the only one that can be distributed without restrictions on whether it's distributed for commercial use or not
