Full Version: Who is giving support for Cpanel servers hosted by EV!?
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > cPanel/WHM

A few months ago, i noticed, when i clicked on SUPPORT CENTER in WHM, the following msg;

If you are the customer of a hosting company or datacenter, you need to contact them for support. This form is for datacenters and directly-licensed cPanel customers only. End users must contact their hosting company or datacenter for support as we do not have access to their servers and will be unable to assist you without their intervention.

All of a sudden, from one day to the next, i see this message. It was never there before so whats the big deal with this? What does this mean? Does this mean we are no longer able to submit Cpanel issues directly to Cpanel? Since i am hosted at EV1 I'd like to know what the big deal with this is, all of a sudden. They always used to answer my support issues , but the last one went unanswered. I'd like to know if they have changed their policies or what! I really dont think submitting a Cpanel technical issue to EV1 is going to take care of any Cpanel issues.

I would like to know the official stance on this also.
But cpanel has handled all my trouble tickets (3 or 4) in a timely fashion even with the statement.

I have still been getting support from cPanel, but I am unsure how much longer that will last. And I agree, its going to be a big problem for a lot of people out there. (Myself included)
