Hello everyone. Im having a problem with one of my boxes while trying to upgrade. I am usually not so ancious to get more bugs, but with the current state of things, there is no better time then now to test stuff out on this box.

When i run the upgrade from 7.5.2->7.5.3 im getting the following error:

CODE
Preparing for packages installation...

----- begin of output -----

Installing /PSA_7.5.3/rpm_RedHat_el3/base/psa-proftpd-1.2.10-rhel3.build75050506.13.i586.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:

    config(psa-proftpd) = 1.2.10-rhel3.build75050130.17 is needed by (installed) psa-proftpd-1.2.10-rhel3.build75050130.17

----- end of output -----

I checked the version of proftp on the machine and it is indeed already psa-proftpd-1.2.10-rhel3.build75050130.17.

So my question is this, do i have to remove proftps current rpm install in order to get this install to work? Anyone else having problems at this stage of installing?

Do the update by rpm's instead of the auto...

I have tried that.

I get the same error output when doing it manually as i do through the auto installer.

Which is why im asking if i should just remove the old ones or if i should just force it through?

any ideas?
