I have 2 cpanel servers running redhat and MySQL 4.0.24-standard who have been running fine (well almost ) up till about 9 days ego.
The recent cpanel update did something to both servers and now they both have the exact same problem.

I can not connect to the MySQL tables remotely
When I try to connect, it sits there for about 5 minutes and then I get this error:
ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'www.domain.com' (110)

Can anyone please help me figure this out?
I have all the privileges reset and allow remote MySQL login for the tables I want to connect to.
I have been down for the past 9 days with no solution from rackshak or cpanel.

Make sure the firewall is open. I would just turn it off entirely for testing.

Try to do telnet IP 3306 to see if you can physically make contact with the server.

I don't have any firewalls on one of the servers.
I have telnet disabled
When I try to do "ssh IP -p 3306" the same thing happens. It sits there for about 5 minutes and then says:
ssh: connect to address IP port 3306: Connection timed out

Well what do your logs say /var/log/messages? It must say something!

The problem was definately the firewall. I thoight I only had firewall installed on one server so I completely blocked it out, but I had it on both.
Opened the port and it started working.
