Hello,

I have installed recently php 4.3.11 using ART's yum repository.

I wanted to ask if I can keep my old 4.3.10 php.ini with this new installation, or if there are substantial changes I should be aware off in the configuration.

Thanks!

Hello,

We have had no problems using our original PHP.INI file from 4.3.10 when upgrading to PHP 4.3.11. Simply backup your php.ini file pre-upgrade then, post upgrade, backup your new php.ini file and copy the old one over it. Restart HTTPD once your done.

I ran art's update and found that there was no need to restore the backup copy of the 4.3.10 php.ini file. My non-default settings were not changed.

4.3.10 -> 4.3.11 is bugfix release, meaning, you can use same php.ini and sleep at night icon_smile.gif.

Good luck.
