paulius
Yes.

I don't even know if it changed anything. However, it did add an integrated firewall!

Select Network Connection > Connection ( LAN) > Properties > Advanced

There you'll see option to enable/disable Windows Firewall ( ICF )

I'm using the built-in firewall with no problems. Make sure to enable Terminal Services exception, and exceptions for all the services you're running. Don't use the application forwarding tab, just the enable/disable (first tab) and exceptions (second tab).

sp1 installed on compaq ml350 and broke...badly. Several services (3rd party) would no longer load and hung on restart. The most notable were the APC PowerChute and Sonicwall's ViewPoint. The PowerChute software hung and caused the logon process to be locked until the powerChute process timed out..approximately 15-20 mins. After the PowerChute released the rest of the processes completed with numerous errors reported.

Disabling the powerChute in services allowed a more complete and timely restart. Howerver, the Viewpoint software was broken. Other services also had errors.

Removed SP1 and reinstalled APC and Viewpoint to correct the issues.

On a second server, fresh install, SP1 was installed before adding PowerChute. PowerChute would not install and would hang on installation attempt. ticket pending with APC on this.

We will not install SP1 until further in-house testing with common 3rd party software.
