Hi.

I just built a plesk linux server. I am having problems connecting my domain name to my plesk server.

Mysetup is as follows:-
  • Domain name is on a another provider with orginal dns settings.
  • Linux server is behind a router
  • The Linux server does not connect to the internet externally but has static ip addresses internally

What I need to know is how do I get www.mydomain.com to coonect to my linux server behinfd my firewall on my internall internet address.
so for example www.mydomain.com to connect my router then forwarded to my internal local ip addresses i.e 192.100.1.10.
I also have 3 more static external tcp/ip addresses that I can use on the internet.
What do I need to do?
I have couple ideas but I need some more info so that more domains can be created.

you need to login to the firewall and forward tcp port 80 to the internal static ip address. then you need to setup your nameservers to point to your external static ip address. now httpd requests will work. you will need to do the same port forwarding / firewall rule changes to all of the ports / services you wish to use.
