I have searched and not been able to find an answer that works. I want to upload a file to the win2k3 server. How do I do that? I have tried every thing I can think of.

Thanks

What exactly are you trying to do? Is this for an application like a photo gallery or just to accept other files? There is a component out there called ASP Upload that will do the trick if this isn't anything special. If you just need to transfer stuff for your own use, you can do that via remote desktop.

Why not setup a 'Upload' folder and use FTP? ...That's what I do all the time.

You probably need to clarify what you mean to get any kind of useful response. At the simplest level, I would read this as you have just purchased a Win2k3 server and wish to put a file on it, but don't know where to start.

If that's the case, you'll need to do a little reading up on Remote Desktop, and, ideally, how to set up a VPN between the server and your computer so that you can access the server's hard drives directly via windows sharing.

Thanks for the reply but I decided against win2k3 and went back to the old tried and proven RHEL. Windows might be ok for those that want to update everyday but at the end of the day, I like Linux. I knew nothing about Linux and after a couple months I learned enough to keep the server running and with all updates in place. I am now learning PHP and am quite impressed with all it can do. I tried .net studio and after 2 days I uninstalled it. I've learned my lesson.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I'd have to agree with you there. Though I'm more of a *BSD kinda guy than Linux.

To each his/her own.
