I have an FTP backup storage area on the ev1 backup servers.

I have been completely unable to backup using FTP directly.

I have tried the option recommended in the Plesk backup manual:

but this doesn't work.

I have also tried to use FTP in the Plesk control panel itself with no success.

Has anyone been able to successfully use FTP to backup directly to the ev1 backup servers? Or have they had to resort to a backup to a local file and then an ftp up using a shell script?

You better to do the backup localy then transfert the backup remotly after...
Psdump have never been very reliable & a little network trouble would ruin your backup..
