Certificate name = Up to you.
Bit = I'm not sure about this, I usually choose the highest one.
After you got the form filled out (in Plesk), hit "Request". Plesk will generate your private key & CSR for you.
Go back to certificate list and click on that brand new certificate. Scroll to the bottom, you'll see "CSR" section. Cut'n'paste it on GeoTrust signing up page and all you have to do is wait.
Wait 'till GeoTrust sends you a certificate based on that CSR. Install it using Plesk and you're done!

thank you much for your help - i did figure it out last night and did the steps you suggested but am still waiting for the email to be sent. So i started digging around and realized that although I created an email account in the PSA - and could send successfully from it - nothing can be received at the email address - something about virtual alias table of something? So I ordered the cert and because I can't receive email at that email address - I seem to be in quite a pickle - any idea on what needs to be done to fix the email issue?

There are some possible causes of the problem :
1 - Maybe nameservers for your domain is incorrect or it's record hasn't been propagated. (When did you change the nameserver? -- You usually have to wait about 48-72 hours to make sure that the record is propagated.)
2 - You did not properly setup your email. Generally, you just create a new mailbox and that's it. You can check your email via pop3/imap/webmail.

thank you again for your help = ended up finding out that the mail was still filtering through the old system - anyway so now i have my cert from geotrust - i would have thought this was the easy part but apparently not
got the cert
logged into PSA
clicked Certificates
Click domain
options to upload or paste text for:
Certificate *
CA Certificate
so i put my cert from Geotrust in the Certificate field (it wouldn't let me put it in CA because then Certificate field was blank) and it is missing a piece .....
so what was I supposed to put where? please help!!
thanks!
