We have installed APF firewall in our RedHat EL systems. But we are not getting, where to write POSTROUTING rules.

Please help us in this as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Raghu N.

Try to add them to the end of /etc/apf/preroute.rules, it should work. And don't forgot about DEVM="1" icon_smile.gif

Hi, absolut

Thank you for your suggestion. I already did the same. Its working fine. But we have one more problem i.e Some one sending unknown packets to our server, though APF is droping all those packets, we are loosing lot of bandwidth because of these packets. Can u tell how to prevent this.

Thank you,
Raghu Ni.

It will always take bandwidth because the packets are being sent all the way to your server.

If you believe they are being sent as some form of a DOS attack, you should contact the ISP of the originating host.
