Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has uninstalled the version of tomcat included with plesk 7.5.1 and installed a regular one. It sucks to have to pay for free software. Has anyone done this? Any tips on which files/rpms need to be removed?
Thanks

Most of my works require Tomcat or some sort of container. I used to manually set up Tomcat + Apache on plain ol' linux box. It was just fine until I start getting more and more sites running on the server. It's kind of a hassle to setup virtual host manually.
I've never used Plesk+Tomcat before, but my guess is that you can edit httpd.conf file manually to have apache connects with Tomcat. But I think it will be more of a hassle in long run if you have more and more sites requiring Tomcat.
I'm new here at EV1. (Moving from another company) I'm going to purchase Tomcat support soon. Yup, I agree with you, it sucks to pay for free software. But (I hope) getting Tomcat support could save me some time in the long run.
It's more like you're paying Plesk indirectly to be able to config Apache/Qmail/Courier/MySQL easier. :-)
Cheers,
