Hello,

I just have a small problem I recently got a plesk server having use and still using Ensim but I dont know how to open a port.

I am installing Urchin but it requires to open a port.

Can somebody please help.

what do you mean by "open a port" if you do not have a firewall you just start the process and it will open the port. if you have a firewall you need to make the necessary changes... apf would be /etc/apf/conf.apf

I need to open port 9999 or 8080 to be able to install Urchin.

While doing the installation I got an error message because the ports were not open. I imagine tha Plesk has a fire wall but I dont know if thats something on the control panel or thru SSH.

try to disable the plesk firewall if it is enabled. that will be in the control panel i believe.
