Hi, i've installed mod_layout on my server: no problems. Added LayoutFooter directive to a Virtual Host, restarted httpd: no problems.

However when i come to view the site.. no footer. Any idea whatsoever as to why that could be?

RHE, cPanel9.

Do you have these two directives in your apache config?

LoadModule layout_module /usr/lib/apache/mod_layout.so
AddModule mod_layout.c

When i used mod_layout it could not work with gzipped pages. Brian (author) told me that the apache2 version of mod_layout will work with gzipped sites. Try investigating this.

Also, I remember it was kind of troublesome for me installing this as well. The best is to try it with pure html pages.
